June through November Feisty Acres offers poultry and egg shares to its CSA members. CSA stands for "Community Supported Agriculture" and fosters a direct relationship between the eater and the farmer. When you become a member of our CSA, you purchase a "share" of poultry and eggs before the harvest season begins. There are many advantages to participating in a CSA program: eat ultra fresh poultry full of vitamins and flavor; exposure to new ingredients and ways of cooking; opportunities to visit the farm; and develop a meaningful connection between your food and the farmers who raise it. All members of the farm's CSA receive 10% off any poultry, eggs, or merchandise purchase made outside of their regular monthly share.

In 2025 our Poultry CSA members received poultry and other value added goods valued at $961.37 for just $650 (last year’s share price)! Below is what was available month by month.

Offerings change season to season (please note: 2026 Egg Shares must be purchased separately).

June: 1 whole chicken (4+ lbs.), boneless chicken breasts (3 lbs.), ground chicken (1.25 lbs.), chicken drumsticks (1.5 lbs.), 2 small chicken pot pies, 1 lemon curd (8 oz.)

July: 2 whole Muscovy ducks (4.5-5.5 lbs each), Muscovy duck breast (2 lbs.), boneless chicken breast (3 lbs.), 2 containers of chicken bone broth

August: 2 Cornish hens (1.5 - 2 lbs. each), 4 half chickens (1.5 lbs. each), chicken drumsticks (1.25 lbs.), 2 quarts of chicken stock

September: Boneless Muscovy duck breast (2 lbs.), Muscovy duck legs (3 lbs.), Muscovy duck wings (3 lbs.), Muscovy duck or chicken backs (2.5 lbs.), 1 jar chicken liver mousseline (4 0z.)

October: 3 stew hens (2 - 3 lbs. each), chicken thighs (2 lbs.), chicken wings (2 lbs.), bone in chicken breast (2 lbs.), 1 container chicken bone broth

November: 1 whole turkey, sizes vary upon member requests. Average turkey weight given to CSA members: 16 lbs.

You may choose to pick up your share on the farm in one of the following locations:

• The Farm, West Winfield (Saturdays & Sundays)

• Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, Brooklyn (Saturdays 8am - 2pm)

Please note: if you are unable to pick up your share on the designated weekend, you must notify us within one week of the missed pick up date. If we are not notified, those share items will be forfeited and re-integrated into the farm’s product inventory for sale to the general public.

There will be no refunds issued due to inability to pick up or moving away.
